We are looking for a personal lines insurance trainer who will report to the Training Manager and whose main responsibilities will be to support and pass on knowledge to personal lines insurance brokers.

Location and Job Type:
• Location: either Westmount or Montreal;
• Permanent full-time position (35 hours) Monday to Friday

A glimpse into your daily life:
• Passing on your technical knowledge of insurance and insurers’ products to brokers;
• Listening to all brokers on an ongoing basis (“shadowing”);
• Observe and accompany (one on one) brokers;
• Develop the knowledge of each broker according to the program established by the Training Director, based on their career path and regulatory framework (Quebec and other provinces);
• Train new brokers according to the integration program;
• Participate in updating product comparisons for an insurance segment;
• Use grids or tools to recognize skills developed;
• Teach confidentiality, compliance and security rules;
• Train employees on Fort’s Business Management System (BMS) and insurers’ systems;
• Assist managers in developing, drafting and updating work processes, methods and tools;
• Act as a resource person for systems managers;
• Travel to our various branches (Montreal and Westmount) as needed for training and coaching.
• From time to time, perform additional tasks as deemed necessary by the Training Manager.

The experience we’re looking for:
• You have a valid AMF license as a Personal Lines Broker;
• You have a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a personal lines broker in module management;
• You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role (e.g. trainer, training supervisor in a brokerage firm, welcoming and integrating new employees, team leader, complaint management, compliance, etc.);
• You have good computer skills Office Suite (TAM and/or Power Broker and Tarif-Expert would be an asset);
• You are fluent in French and English, both spoken and written, as we have international partners (customers, suppliers, etc.).
