Working for business leaders from the very start
FORT owes its success to entrepreneurs who joined forces to offer the very best services to their clients. Since 1927, our firm has been living proof that together, we can do more. In 2016, Diane Corbeil and Stéphan Bernatchez acquired FORT with a like-minded entrepreneurial spirit.
FORT’s origins go back to 1927, when Brian Reynolds built an exclusive clientele for the Reynolds Company. In 1963, Robert C. Anderson joined the company, which became Reynolds & Anderson Ltd.
New expertise in employee benefits
To meet the specific needs of its important business client segment, the company began offering its own products and services. It continued in this vein until 1989, when Michael A.S. Boxer (Boxer and Associates) joined the company, bringing leading expertise in employee benefits.
A crucial merger
In the late 1950s, the Fejervary Insurance Agency was offering distinctive service to its clientele. The company was owned by Leslie Fejervary, until his daughter Sophie took over with husband James Madon in 1993. They partnered with André Chapdelaine and became Madon Fejervary Chapdelaine.
In 1998, the firms of Reynolds & Anderson and Madon Fejervary Chapdelaine merged and FORT Insurance was born.
Building the future
From 1998 to 2011, FORT Insurance acquired six companies. In 2016, with a new name, FORT Insurance | Group Benefits, Diane Corbeil and Stéphan Bernatchez confirmed their commitment to offering a full range of products to the firm’s executive and corporate clientele.
